the following citation:

For heroism and extraordinary
achievement in aerial flight while attached to Composite Squadron
NINETY SIX during operations against enemy Japanese forces in
the Ryukyu Islands.
Completing his twentieth mission on June 2, 1945, Lieutenant
(then Lieutenant Junior
Grade) Morrison contributed materially to the success of his squadron.
His gallant devotion to duty was in keeping with the highest
traditions of the United States Naval Service.
